Alok Nath, born on July 10, 1956, is an Indian actor famously known as “Sanskaari Babuji” for his fatherly roles in Hindi films and TV shows. He started his film career with the 1982 movie Gandhi, which won an Oscar for Best Picture. In 1986, he became widely popular with his role in the TV show Buniyaad. He also appeared in Rishtey (1999-2001) and several Star Plus shows, including Sapna Babul Ka…Bidaai, Yahaaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli, and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Born in Khagaria, Bihar, he has a sister, Vineeta Malik, known for her role as Bhairavi in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
